Definitions Needed | Home |
I am seeking definitions for the following stop names which I have found in the literature or in stoplists. Those with hyperlinks have entry files, but no satisfactory definition. Those in boldface type are the ones of most importance to me. The numbers in parentheses give the number of examples found in the Osiris archive.
Some of these names will appear to have obvious definitions, such as "Rohrflaut" as a synonym for "Rohrflöte", and "Metallgedackt" as a Gedeckt made of metal. However, rather than make any assumptions, I'd prefer to get definitive information from someone who knows, rather than just conjectures, what these names mean.
