Muted Trumpet English |
Listed only by Irwin, who says:
A Reed stop of 8' on the manuals, voiced to imitate the “sassy”, brilliant, subdued timbre of the orchestral prototype. This Trumpet stop is different from the Petite Trompette, whch is a soft Reed that does not have its higher overtones subdued. Few examples have been made, because this particular overtone structure is extremely difficult for the voicer to imitate, but it has been heard in several of the moving picture organs, many of which tried to reproduce every instrument.
See Orchestral Trumpet, Sertin.
Muted Trumpet 8', Swell; Convention Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA; Midmer-Losh 1929-32.
