Zarthorn German

Listed only by Sumner, who says: “Zarthorn, 8-ft. and 4-ft. A regal of delicate tone.” The German word zart means “delicate”.


All known examples are listed below.

Zarthorn 8’, Swell; Lutheran Parish Church St. Georg and Mauritius, Flemhude, Germany; Marcussen 1840-41, Tolle 1963/75. This stop was added in the late 20th century.

Zarthorn 8', Hovedverk; Loddefjord kike, Bergen, Norway; Jorgensen 1932.
