Spillgedeckt German

A metal flute formed of pipes whose lower half is cylindrical and whose upper half is conical, closed at the top. It is effectively a stopped Spillflöte.


Only two examples are known:

Spillgedeckt 8', Pedal; Cox Chapel, Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas, USA; Aeolian Skinner 1973.

Spillgedackt 4', Schwellwerk; First Congregational Church of Berkeley, Berkeley, California, USA; Ott c1970.
