Reinforza a Ligne Italian Rinforzo a Lingue Italian

Listed only by Audsley, who says:

A stop, of 16 ft. pitch, formed of free-reeds without the addition of resonant tubes, resembling in this respect the Physharmonika in the Organ in the Cathedral of Lucerne. Italian organ-builders have introduced the Reinforza a Ligne only in cases where space was too limited for the accomodation of a proper lingual stop of 16 ft. pitch. An example exists in the largest Organ in the Basilica of St. Peter, Rome.

The name means "reeds reinforcement".
