Posaunenbass Chormass German
Posaunenchormassbass German

These names indicate a Posaune stop that appears at 8' in the pedal (see Posaunenbass). The suffix bass indicates a stop that belongs to the pedal, and the term chormass indicates 8' pitch (see Chormassprincipal).

See also Posaunenbass Unterchormass.

The only known example is one cited by Adlung “at Breslau”. Adlung cites it twice, once for each of the two names; it is not known which is the correct one.

Adlung[1]: §125 Chormass, §176 Posaune.
