Mounted Cornet English

A Cornet whose pipes are mounted on their own chest located above the main chest in order to economize on space. It was usually of short compass, upwards from middle c on old English organs, and from tenor C on German organs. In the classical French organ Cornets were sometimes mounted, but were not so named.
