Minor Open Flute English |
Listed only by Irwin, who says:
A stop-name that refers to a variety of open Flutes of either metal or wooden construction, at 8' or 4' in the manuals, or 16' or 8' on the pedals. It may sound in contrast to a louder Flute on any division. Large unit organs usually make use of the Reed and flue names that they want to duplicate at different dynamic levels by adding Major and Minor to them.Compare with Flauto Minore; see also Major Open Flute.
