Harmonic Cornet English |
Listed only by Irwin, who says:
A compound Foundation stop on the manuals, made harmonic for greater penetration and cleanness of timbre. Its rich tones make prominent the chief melody of the music. It is a majestic and imposing solo stop. It gives brilliance to the Diapasons of the Chorus or the loud Trumpets and Tubas.
See Cornet, Harmonic Flute.
Irwin gives the following three-rank examples:
2-2/3' + 2' + 1-3/5'Harmonic Cornet III (17 19 22), Gallery Organ II; Convention Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA; Midmer-Losh 1929-32.
