Grossflachflöt[e] German

Adlung defines Grossflachflöt as a Flachflöte of 8' pitch. Audsley quotes Seidel in a footnote: “Sie wird zu 8, 4, 2, und 1' und zwar konisch und cylindrisch zugleich angetroffen, die 8- un 4 füssige heisst zuweilen Grossflachflöte.” (“It [Flachflöte] can be found with a pitch of 8', 4', 2' or 1', with both a conical and cylindrical shape. Occasionally the 8' and 4' variants are called Grossflachflöte.”)
