Flauto Primo Italian

Mentioned only by Audsley, who says:

So far as we have been able to learn, the first Doppelflöte that appeared in an English Organ was the one we inserted, in 1883, in our Chamber Organ, under the Italian name, Flauto Primo, 8 ft.
. . .
This beautiful stop was presented to us by the late Hilborne L. Roosevelt, of New York.

The name means “first flute”. It is interesting to note that Audsley frequently rails against the use of vague or undescriptive stop names.
